Meg Fleming in three scenes:
- She is the 2016 picture book debut author of I HEART YOU, illustrated by Sarah Jane Wright and published by Beach Lane Books/Simon & Schuster. Written in spare rhyme and set in a gorgeous countryside, I HEART YOU explores the parent-child relationship in both animal and human families. A single day is filled with vast experiences and exciting activities and woven into the many exchanges between parent and child, there is an invisible action forever at work. This is love. With a hug at every turn, I Heart You shows that love is the ultimate action word.
- I HEART YOU has themes of love, parent-child relationships, empathy, parental behavior in animals and rhyme.
- Meg Fleming writes from her home… car… coffee shop… and sometimes the grocery-store-parking-lot outside of San Francisco where she lives with her husband and three kids. Also a voice teacher, she draws on her love of rhythm, rhyme and lyricism to create and imagine stories. She is an active (and grateful!) member of SCBWI.
