Jodi McKay in three scenes:
- She is the 2016 picture book debut author of WHERE ARE THE WORDS?, illustrated by Denise Holmes and published by Albert Whitman and Company, about Period who wants to write a story, but he can’t find the words. He enlists the help of some punctuation pals and together they not only find the words, they come up with quite a story.
- WHERE ARE THE WORDS? has themes of friendship, cooperation, a noticing what’s around us. It uses a picture book format to teach the role of punctuation. Teacher’s guides to come!
- Jodi McKay lives in Michigan with her husband, son, and crazy Goldendoodle named Ralph. She’s been thinking up stories ever since she was a kid, only now they are a little weirder. Jodi writes at home with a cup of coffee at her right side, a Godzilla toy on her left side, a laptop in front of her, and Ralph under her chair.
